Patrick M. DeLong - President and CEO
With over 20 years in wine and luxury brands, Patrick DeLong was promoted to President and CEO of Crimson Wine Group in January of 2015. Patrick joined Crimson Wine Group in 2007, helping to lead the company’s formation, the adoption of its strategic plan, and the acquisitions of Chamisal Vineyards, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Seven Hills Winery, and the creation of Malene Wines, among other key operational initiatives. Patrick previously served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Icon Estates, the fine wine division of Constellation Brands, Inc. Prior to Constellation, Patrick spent seven years with the Robert Mondavi Corporation in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President of Finance & Planning. His early career included ten years in operational and financial roles, including luxury cruise line Holland America Line. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco. Patrick is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a BS in Business Administration/Finance & Accounting. His post graduate studies include Seattle University’s Masters of Applied Economics program and the University of Michigan’s Executive Education in Strategic Planning. Patrick earned his CPA Certification in the State of California and Washington.
Nicolas Quille MW - Chief Winemaking and Operations Officer
Nicolas Quille was most recently General Manager and Head Winemaker of Banfi Vintners’ boutique portfolio of wineries in the Northwest U.S. He spent the last 26 years in a variety of winegrowing positions in both France and the United States. In addition to his role with Banfi, his U.S. experience includes winegrowing and management positions with Pacific Rim and Bonny Doon. Prior to moving to the United States, Nicolas worked in Burgundy (Antonin Rodet and Domaine Prieur), Provence (Domaine de la Courtade), Champagne (Laurent Perrier) and Portugal (Taylor’s Port). He holds a master’s degree in Enology from the University of Dijon, Burgundy, a master’s degree in Sparkling Winery Management from the University of Reims, Champagne, an MBA from the University of Washington and is a member of the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine.
Karen Diepholz - Chief Financial Officer
With a background in consumer products, technology and most recently the wine industry, Karen brings a distinct skill set to Crimson. Karen, who joined Crimson Wine Group in June 2018, oversees all financial and business service functions, ensuring the highest level of quality to support Crimson’s mission of crafting benchmark wines and creating uniquely wonderful wine experiences. Karen came to Crimson from Vintage Wine Estates (VWE), where she was the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing Finance & Accounting, IT, Procurement and Human Resources. Prior to VWE, Karen was the Chief Financial Officer of Equinox Payments, a payment technology company and the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for Hypercom Corporation, a global payment technology company. Karen holds a bachelors degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University, a MBA from Arizona State University and obtained her CPA Certificate in Arizona.
Lisa H. Kislak - Chief Marketing Officer
Lisa H. Kislak has worked in all aspects of the hospitality business – management, sales, marketing and development. She has held sales and marketing leadership positions with companies such as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels, ClubCorp and Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. As the vice president of marketing at DFRG, she oversaw three restaurant brands including the Nation’s Restaurant News Hot Concept winner, Del Frisco’s Grille. While at Del Frisco’s she and her marketing team all earned their Court of Master Sommelier Level 1 certification. She also introduced the first ever Somm Wars program at Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, pitting a few talented female sommeliers from New York, Chicago and Dallas in a wine and food pairing duel. The “Cab Fight” won an American Advertising Award.
Mike Cekay - Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Overseeing domestic and international sales for Crimson Wine Group, Mike Cekay joined the company in 2012 with extensive sales management experience globally, strong trade marketing skills and a passion for the luxury wine market. Prior to joining Crimson Mike was EVP and Global Sales Manager for Don Sebastiani & Sons where he delivered $100 million of gross revenue. He began his career as District Sales Manager for Alexander Dun & Sons – the U.S. Duty Free Division of Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine, and quickly became Allied’s point man on Winery Relations, overseeing a portfolio of over forty wine properties. He worked in U.S. cruise ship sales for Allied Domecq Duty Free Americas, and was On Premise National Account Director for Allied Domecq Wines USA, DVP-Central Region at Beam Wine Estates and VP of Off-Premise National Accounts for Future Brands, LLC. Mike has a BS in marketing from the University of Maryland, an MBA from the University of Miami and an MS Level 1 Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Emilie Eliason - Vice President of Consumer Sales & Innovation
Emilie Eliason joined Crimson Wine Group in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing and providing strategic direction for the direct to consumer business. She also leads Crimson’s innovation efforts to bring new wines and experiences to life. Emilie was previously Vice President of Marketing at J Vineyards & Winery where she managed marketing, public relations and consumer sales. Emilie has fifteen years of extensive brand marketing and direct marketing experience from her roles at Gallo, Treasury Wine Estates, Diageo and Clorox. Prior to business school, Emilie worked in market research, analyzing primary and secondary research data to make recommendations for companies such as Yahoo!, Gap Inc. and AT&T. Emilie has a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Craig Williams- Consulting Winegrower
Craig Williams joined Crimson in this role after serving as a member of the company’s board of directors since March 2013. He brings 40 years of experience in the California wine business, including 32 years at Joseph Phelps Vineyards, leaving in 2008 in the position of Senior Vice President of Winegrowing. Under his direction, Joseph Phelps Vineyards earned three 100-point scores from Robert Parker, three Top 10 placements in Wine Spectator’s Top 100, and the coveted Wine of the Year Award from Wine Spectator in 2005 for the 2002 Joseph Phelps Insignia. Williams is also the owner of an eponymous Napa Valley-based winemaking and viticulture consulting firm, Craig Williams Wine Company. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, he holds a bachelor's degree in fermentation science.
