Patrick M. DeLong - President and CEO
With over 20 years in wine and luxury brands, Patrick was promoted to President and CEO of Crimson Wine Group in January of 2015. Patrick DeLong joined Crimson Wine Group in 2007, helping to lead the company’s formation, the adoption of its strategic plan, and the acquisitions of Chamisal Vineyards and Seghesio Family Vineyards among other key operational initiatives. Mr. DeLong previously served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Icon Estates, the fine wine division of Constellation Brands, Inc. Prior to Constellation, Mr. DeLong spent seven years with the Robert Mondavi Corporation in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President of Finance & Planning. His early career included ten years in operational and financial roles, including luxury cruise line Holland America Line. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco. Mr. DeLong is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a BS in Business Administration/Finance & Accounting. His post graduate studies include Seattle University’s Masters of Applied Economics program and the University of Michigan’s Executive Education in Strategic Planning.
Craig Williams- COO & Chief Winegrower
Craig Williams joined Crimson in this role after serving as a member of the company’s board of directors since March 2013. He brings 40 years of experience in the California wine business, including 32 years at Joseph Phelps Vineyards, leaving in 2008 in the position of Senior Vice President of Winegrowing. Under his direction, Joseph Phelps Vineyards earned three 100-point scores from Robert Parker, three Top 10 placements in Wine Spectator’s Top 100, and the coveted Wine of the Year Award from Wine Spectator in 2005 for the 2002 Joseph Phelps Insignia. Williams is also the owner of an eponymous Napa Valley-based winemaking and viticulture consulting firm, Craig Williams Wine Company. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, he holds a bachelor's degree in fermentation science.
Shannon McLaren - CFO
Shannon McLaren comes to Crimson from Wente Family Estates, where she spent four years as the Senior Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Wente, McLaren served as Assistant Manager, HomeCare Planning & Analysis of the Clorox Company, as well as Accounting Manager, Corporate Segment. Prior to that, Ms. McLaren served as Senior Internal Auditor of Altera Corporation. Before that, she served as Manager, Assurance of KPMG. She obtained her Canadian Chartered Accountant designation, and after being transferred to the Bay Area in 2004, obtained her California CPA license. McLaren holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia.
Mike Cekay - Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Overseeing domestic and international sales for Crimson Wine Group, Mike Cekay joined the company in 2012 with extensive sales management experience globally, strong trade marketing skills and a passion for the luxury wine market. Prior to joining Crimson Mr. Cekay was EVP and Global Sales Manager for Don Sebastiani & Sons where he delivered $100 million of gross revenue. He began his career as District Sales Manager for Alexander Dun & Sons – the U.S. Duty Free Division of Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine, and quickly became Allied’s point man on Winery Relations, overseeing a portfolio of over forty wine properties. He worked in U.S. cruise ship sales for Allied Domecq Duty Free Americas, and was On Premise National Account Director for Allied Domecq Wines USA, DVP-Central Region at Beam Wine Estates and VP of Off-Premise National Accounts for Future Brands, LLC. Mr. Cekay has a BS in marketing from the University of Maryland, an MBA from the University of Miami and an MS Level 1 Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Nathan Stern - Vice President of Direct to Consumer Sales
Nathan comes to Crimson from BevMo!, where he was most recently employed as the head of customer relationship management, responsible for developing and implementing an industry-leading CRM and loyalty programs, all direct marketing channels, and leading the insights and customer service teams. Nathan's extensive beverage industry experience includes key roles focused on commercial, marketing and wine supply at companies including Treasury Wine Estates, Foster's Brewing Group, Coles Liquor, and Altria Group Inc. In addition to his beverage industry experience, Nathan's diverse background includes more than fifteen years in business planning and consulting roles. Nathan holds a Business and Law degree from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.
