Crimson Wine Group today named Lisa Kislak Chief Marketing Officer, a newly created position that will report directly to President and CEO Patrick DeLong. Kislak will oversee all of marketing and brand strategic planning, public relations, digital strategy, direct-to-consumer sales channels and hospitality programs. She begins her new role on August 6.
A seasoned marketing veteran, Kislak has worked with a variety of hospitality and lifestyle brands and has a successful track record of growing sales through smart strategies and innovative brand positioning that includes digital and social media, special events and CRM/loyalty programs. She has related experience with boutique resort properties and restaurant groups, most notably Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group.
“With Crimson’s growing position in the market, we are delighted that Lisa Kislak is joining the team as our first Chief Marketing Officer,” said Crimson Wine Group President & CEO Patrick DeLong. “Consumers, the marketplace, where and how the story is told, as well as where and how consumers purchase wine are all changing at a rapid pace. Lisa’s expertise and innate ability to develop distinct brand voices make her perfectly suited to leverage our family of brands and increase our market visibility.”
Previously, Kislak served as Vice President of Marketing at Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, an upscale restaurant company with a robust wine program in 21 states and Washington D.C. She managed brand innovation and communications, including CRM, digital, email and social strategy, guest experience metrics and media buying for all three brands. She piloted concept, menu satisfaction and design research and used the information to implement successful, customer-driven improvements. During her tenure with Del Frisco’s she also earned her Level I certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
“I am thrilled to join Crimson Wine Group at this dynamic time for the company and I look forward to distinguishing and expanding the brands in the market,” said Kislak. “Crimson’s diverse portfolio of exceptional wines presents an exciting opportunity to continue to build on the success of the brands and develop new audiences.”
Kislak holds a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Denver and a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Southern Methodist University.
